They decided to keep Dad one more day and night until they could get a ct scan, and barium swallow test. This time they are going to check things out from the mouth all the way through, not just the place of surgery were the repair was made. They are now looking for any area of obstruction, that may be causing the excessive gas build up in the abdomen. Dad is still very bloated and they have taken him off all food by mouth, they are just feeding him through the j-tube at this point, and they have slowed the rate down of how quickly they give him the formula. Worse case scenario is if they find an obstruction that is not accessible through a scope, then they will have to go back in and open him up. They do not necessarily expect this, and we are definitely praying that this is not the case. They may not find an obstruction at all. They are doing this test at 7:30 am on Friday morning. They said we should know something pretty soon after the test.
They are needing to get this abdomen issue resolved before they can even work on the lungs, and after that speech. One step at a time, one day at a time "Sweet Jesus."

(While I was typing this, Mom called. She was sitting in Dad's room watching the Baylor football game on tv. Go Bears!! (Dad loves his football) She sounded good, and Dad was doing ok.)

Praying, too, that they are able to take care of the problems. Our God is able!
Mike it was great to hear your voice last night, even if just by phone. The turn out was huge, there were guestimates of 120 guys or so. Lots of young men came as well to hear Don. Joa Anderson (one of Don's younger ones, 16) led the music since Big Dave couldn't be there.
We pray for you with JJ's play by play. We'll be in prayer this morning with you in the coffee group.

This is the technically challenged trying to get a prayer request out there. We are waiting for the C.T. Scan right now and we need YOU ALL to pray with us Daniel 2:20-23. It is one of my favorite passages... Open your bibles and pray with us..

This was Daniel's prayer when he needed the answer to the king's dream and the same God Who answered Daniel can answer us. We prayed this for a mystery concerning our septic tank at the ranch and I told Mike this morning we are praying for the mystery in His tank. Please join us in this prayer.
