Prayer Request

Mom called around lunch time and asked for prayer. The Dr. came by to see Dad, and Dad told him how good he felt and when could he leave. Mom could hardly believe her ears. Just yesterday Dad hardly felt like getting out of bed, had fluid on the lungs, and this morning was short of breath and diagnosed with pneumonia, and now mid-day, Dad is saying he wants to go home. And the Dr. said ok, probably tomorrow. Mom is asking everyone to pray for God to intervene if this is too soon. That God would do something to keep Dad there. If it is ok for Dad to leave, then I am requesting prayer for Mom and Dad both. She is going to need His strength to begin this caretaker roll, especially until she feels comfortable with all that she is required to do. Dad has been on some good iv meds, getting the fluid off, and also fighting the pneumonia, so we are not sure how he will feel once the iv is out.
Pray for the Lord's perfect plan to unfold in the next 24 hours. I will let everyone know what they are going to do sometime tomorrow. It may be later on in the afternoon, depending on when the hospital releases him, or decides to keep him.
Praying with you all, JJ
Thanks for God's Word being shared on the comments, it is always good to read and read again.

Well, WOW! That is a big praise but I will definitely be praying that everything goes well... that your mom has the energy and peace to do all she has to do in the coming days. Maybe being home will give them both just what they need to continue the healing.
Love you,
Brenda

Mike and Jan,

We continue to pray many times daily for you. As we have followed the news on the blog, it sounds like this has been a roller coaster week. Hopefully, things will move in positive direction from here on out.

We love you guys.

MIKE'S HEAVENLY HASH

Ingredients:

1 slice back
1 slice chest
8 oz. lung liquid
Pinch of esophagus
Seasoning to God's taste

Mix ingredients and let sit for a very, very long time. Inject with a dose of chemo and then microwave until pink on the outside. This will be one tough dish, but I know you'll love it!

Hang in there, the Lord won't give you anymore than you can handle. Knowing that, don't you wish you would have signed up for ballet instead of football!

Love,

Shelly

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:28-31
