Still doing well.

Dad is about the same, which is good. His stomach finally seems to be going back down, instead of being so swollen. We are noticing a pattern; if Dad has a good night's rest, then he seems to do better the next day, able to go out and work a little, and his speech is better. If he does not rest, then he usually feels like laying around most of the day, and his speech is much more difficult, with lots of stuttering. He still does not feel like eating much at all. Pray for good restful nights, and also for his appetite to return. I am so glad that many of you locally have been able to see him at one of his outings. This is good for him, and good for each of you to see how he is with your own eyes. Please keep praying for Mom. She really is doing well, but does get discouraged from time to time with the slow recovery process, and the ups and downs they have from day to day. Thanks again for all your prayers.

So glad to hear things are better. I pray for Mike to have restful nights. God works in his time not ours and he has done so many wonderful things for Mike thus far - I pray for Jan daily - The Lord truly has blessed you all.Take care and know that many, many people care for you.

J.J., thanks for the update! It sounds like your dad is slowly getting better. I know it must feel like forever slow but from this end it seems the stories are more encouraging each time you write. I will keep praying for rest and contentment with what has to be right now.
We sure miss you guys.
Love,
Brenda

Dear JJ and entire family;

Praise God for small mercies every day that bring any level of relief for Mike.
We are praying everyday for continued reports of improvments. I keep Pops and the boys updated, because they ask about Mike constantly, and still pray every night at super Even when I'm not here. Mark will call me and tell me he prayed. He is so sweet about it.
I was able to have a long telephone visit with your mom a few days ago. (I've not been home and without internet for a couple of weeks.) It was sooooo good to hear her voice. I am confident that the Lord is healing your Dad, in his perfect time, which is never fast enough for us. So we will just keep lifting him up till that glorious day when he will be free from it all.
We all know how much you kids and your Mom love your dad, and I know that is helping him to plant his spurs deep within the groin of this untamed beast and hang on for the ride of his life. I believe he will land on his feet and walk away to face the next chapter of life.
JJ, I have never been apart of a blog like this that keeps so many people (from all over) connected and re-connected, all in the name of LOVE FOR A BROTHER. This site has not just been an encouragement to your family, but it has been a vehicle of wittness, hope, and encouragemtent to us all. It is to no surprise that for all the Janszens are going through, OTHERS are still on your mind, and you are still bleasing us every day. AMAZING !

I am still praying for rest,peace and days free from pain,fear, and anxiety for all of you.

I love you all so much!...Cindy Collins

I do agree with those Keller ladies from the good old days of ages past! :) This blog has called each of us to unite as one in prayer at our Father's throne for a dear friend & family.
That thought brought this wonderful old hymn(1782)
to memory.~~~
Blest be the tie that binds
Our hearts in Christian love;
The fellowship of kindred minds
Is like to that above.

Before our Father’s throne
We pour our ardent prayers;
Our fears, our hopes, our aims are one
Our comforts and our cares.

We share each other’s woes,
Our mutual burdens bear;
And often for each other flows
The sympathizing tear.~~~

("I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love.") Hosea 11:4

Praying for a weekend filled to overflowing with the Lord's goodness, mercy & joy for you all.
Blessings,
Sandy & Don
