This is an additional note I thought you all would enjoy.
On Monday night the nurses who came in to take care of Mike were Joy (from the Congo), and Blessing (from Nigeria) and also Tut (from Sudan) an aid. These 3 beautiful people from Africa hit it off with us as well as our Joy who exchanged stories with them about her experiences in Uganda.
In the early hours of the morning (4:45 a.m.) when Mike needed some pain meds, Blessing came in and gave them to him. She told him that she hoped and prayed that he could get some more sleep but Mike said he didn't know if he could go back to sleep. She nodded and replied "Well then, just lay there and let your spirit rest and allow God to do His healing work." Mike replied, "those are good words, Blessing. Thank You." He quickly fell asleep. :) Prov. 3:24 "...you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet."
I believe Blessing helped him as much with her words as she did with the meds. We want that nurse again.
Good night and thanks to all for your faithfulness to keep praying.

My prayer for Mike, Jan and the Janszen family:
Isaiah 40:31
But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
Thank you for the postings and the privilege to receive specific prayer requests for Mike and your family.
All my love always,

LOVE this post! Of course God would send "Joy and Blessing" to wait upon your Dad! However, he already has those things in abundance through those who surround him - his family! The Janzens have a "Joy," and you are the "Blessing!" The Bible verse was a perfect added dollop on top!
God is SO cool. I loved reading this. When I was in Baylor hospital receiving my first chemo treatment, my nurses name was Grace. We had sweet fellowship at 1:30 in the morning and she shared with me how missionaries brought the gospel message to her hometown in India. Divine appointments :) much love, grace and peace sent your way.-cousin Kristi
My favorite post yet!! God is so clever with his Divine Interventions! Praying for sweet Mr. Janszen, the whole family, and his medical team!
Obvious divine appointments !!!! I wouldn't expect any less from a loving God, who is caring for his good and faithful servant. And once again....He.continues to use you, to miniter to and bless us. I love you Mike !!!! Cindy
